Mail-Enabled applications
Mail-Enabled Applications are programs/systems that exchange program-to-
program application data using electronic mail facilities.
For that purpose we have defined a data/message format that accommodates the
requirements and constraints of both the application and of the mail carrier
system. This standard we call DbMail, since it will in many cases involves
using email to update distributed databases.
The enclosed JobMail application uses this DbMail format.
In its most basic form a DbMail message has #DBMAIL#<appln id># as its first
non-blank (non-white space) characters in the body of the message.
Normally, the start of the subject line contains ## as a marker (or NE:##
etc), and has an application-specific TO: field, which normally also includes
the designated telephone number for the target BBS, e.g.:

Detailed dBMail specifications will be published with a future release.
